JNJF STAFF ENGAGE WIDOWS AT JOB STREET

Effective service delivery does not end with providing support. It begins with listening, understanding people's needs and staying connected to the communities we serve.
Recognising this, the Jamil and Nyagna Jaward Foundation (JNJF) continues to engage directly with vulnerable women to strengthen communication, share information and improve access to opportunities.
Recently, the Foundation’s proactive field staff and Programs Coordinator, Christiana K. Moiwo, met with the widows’ community at Job Street, Kissy, Freetown. The engagement focused on the Foundation’s activities and the financial and social benefits available to these women.
For widows facing economic hardship, access to the right information can make a meaningful difference. Regular engagement helps women understand available programmes, raise concerns, ask questions and become more involved in initiatives designed to support their well-being.
It also allows JNJF to listen to community needs, strengthen relationships and identify ways to make its interventions more responsive and meaningful. Because empowerment is not just about providing opportunities; it is also about ensuring that women know about them, understand them and can take steps to benefit from them.

We believe that every woman deserves to be heard, informed and treated with dignity. Through consistent community engagement, we continue working towards improved socio-economic well-being for vulnerable women and children across Sierra Leone.
When we listen to women, we understand their needs. When we stay engaged, we create better opportunities for meaningful change.
