The Full Story
Widows Community Farming
In Sierra Leone, as with many other deprived areas, women depend on their husbands to provide for them. Because of this, women are often married at young ages and are not taught essential skills to provide for themselves and rarely continue with education for as long as boys. This puts these women in terrible situations if their husband dies, having little skills and knowledge on how to provide for themselves and their children

Mission
Instead of simply giving them food or water we work tirelessly to provide small rural villages who do not easily have access to local shops or money to provide them with a large community farm and teach widows and children how to use and take care of the farm to provide for the village.
This allows us to create a bonding across the village and encourage everyone to look out for each other as well as providing the widows and children with the means to provide for themselves and make money through selling the crops of the farm.

Progress
We have create over 4 large communal farms within rural areas, starting with central villages to allow neighbouring villages to also take advantage of the new farming area and to allow the village to teach skills and expertise on how close villages can work on creating and managing their own farms.
