THE JAMIL AND NYANGA JAWARD FOUNDATION EXPANDS ITS VSLA PROGRAM TO NEW PARTICIPANTS IN MOYAMBA DISTRICT.


Jamil and Nyanga Jaward Foundation, known for uplifting marginalized groups, recently expanded it's comprehensive empowerment Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) training for widows in  Moyamba District. The initiative has inspired enthusiasm as widows anticipate the benefits of this initiative.

Under the foundation’s guidance, widows received thorough financial skills development led by experienced staff and trainers who trained and equipped  the widows with tools to establish self-managed cooperatives success.

Widows expressed hopeful outlooks due to optimizing untapped collective potential. By pooling resources through this VSLA, they will access funds and support each other financially, psychologically, and morally. This venture empowers them to overcome adversity and pursue a brighter future independently.

During hands-on sessions, widows immersed in applying concepts to their realities and situations. They learned prudent decision-making while self-governing according to the VSLA initiative. Conflict resolution training also ensures harmony within groups.

Key features of this initiative allow flexibility meeting with widows’ diverse needs. It also  supplies safety nets and opportunities to entrepreneurial ventures addressing hardships and  ensures transparency and accountability in all operations and protects interests and chances of misuse.

Rewards, including fair profits and shareouts, serve to motivate their commitment and resilience.

The foundation remains dedicated to accompanying widows with consistent backing as their well-being and roles in communities are strengthened through dignified participation in development. Sustainable prioritization of marginalized communities’ empowerment uplifts society holistically.
